We create as many barriers as betterments for ourselves with the ongoing innovation of technology. Using UV sensitive pigments in conversation with traditional mediums, I strive to dismantle these barriers, often created within the physical space between the viewer and art. A re-twisting of the relationships between art, technology, and the viewer.
This approach allows the viewers to become active participants, stepping into a realm where their presence and movement become integral to the artwork's unfolding story. This interaction encourages a deeper connection between the viewer and the subject matter.
I developed my approach to the UV portion of my work during my undergrad. While there is always more to learn , I’ve shifted my focus back to the traditional for now. Currently, I am exploring the color relationships between transparent pigments and mediums for a new approach in depicting my figures.
Creativity is King, Queen, and Jester.
